In the LAMP area are sitting projects and companies like MySQL, eGroupware, ThinkPHP, PEAR and lots more. Basically - lots of arch-enemies! Can you think of PHProjekt and eGroupware people living next to one another for four days? ;)

Well, today I experienced what a nice atmosphere there is. We were standing in front of the Mayflower/ThinkPHP booth and chatting, when johann__ said: "That's one of the eGroupware guys. Hey, Lars, come over, amette wants to see what you freaks are like!" And then the talk started. Some friendly picking on the others software, some namecalling and some exchange of knowledge. That was real Open Source spirit live! It was very nice to just stand there and listen - I haven't laughed that much during the whole LinuxTag. A guy, I think Hermann was the name, who does so many FOSS projects, that he himself always forgets half of them, joined in and participated in making evil jokes! Those guys have some weird humour I really dig! :)

johann__ told me that it has been like this all the days: "Blog about it! That's so cool here in LAMP Area!"

Yes, it was ThinkPHP! The guy in front is johann__ and the guy standing at the desk was yesterday still a woman. At least that's what he told me, when I asked him, what the heck he is doing here, he doesn't fit into my poll. ;)

The girl sitting at the desk is one of the two, who were there yesterday. And now comes the best part of it: they're both real coders, actually doing pretty crazy stuff! Stuff that I would never dare to dig into. :)

Hmm, I made the photo of the booth with just women, but my cell phone messed it up and deleted the shot - darn. So I'll go there again to do it, they were very nice and posed for the photo. Ok, over to the exhibition area and then I can blog again from the Sun booth. ;)

Linuxhotel is a very nice Hotel in one of the pittoresquest parts of germany that offers holidays with integrated Linux training. I saw this seat all the days before and it was always occupied. ;)
