Yes, the finnish band 'Lordi' won this years Eurovision Song Contest.

I didn't follow the whole thing at all, but just some minutes ago Püppi called me to tell me, that we won and if I want to know with what, then I'll have to switch on television now.

Well, Lordi is some interesting hard rock played by some monsters. Yes, they use a lot of make up. ;)

See the video at YouTube.

I love it! Whole germany was years ago upset, that the german song were too dumb and it can't be, that 'real artists' don't have a chance. Bla, bla - what the people want, that's what has a chance.. ;)

UPDATE: I today heard from Hartsa (our finnish TikiWiki translator), that this was finlands first eurovision song contest win ever - and also, that never anyone won with so many points - 292! Cheers! :)

Yup, yup, interesting, but I forgot to mention it in the roundup-post: TikiWiki 1.9.3 was released - and just some hours later 1.9.3.1.
Yeah, the release started rolling when I was just leaving for Püppi in Düsseldorf. My last words were:

#tikiwiki
[17:52:32] <amette__> happy releasin' everybody :)
[17:52:43] amette__ is off, but keeps sending good vibes

Seems that didn't help.

I lately got a bit into Tiki-coding again. And when I today decided to clean up the subscriptions in my aKregator, I also quickly decided, that it's time to create a blogroll-module for Tiki. You can see it in the right column at the bottom. It takes an OPML-file from a Tiki file gallery and renders it into the output, you can see there. I plan to make it available as a Mod for Tiki, but that can still take some time. I already once looked into mods, but still didn't do anything with them. So, for now, you can get the files from my file gallery here.

I subscribed to T-Mobile's (my cell phone provider) online invoice system some time ago. Today I then took the time to adjust it to my needs. And hey - if you want to get an itemized bill, then you'll need to upload your public GPG-key so that they send you the mail encrypted for privacy reasons!

Good job, T-Mobile!! :)

I would have never expected that from them, they usually aren't that smart. Well, they still aren't really smart - the standard bill still seems to be unencrypted and their website just plain sucks. But that GPG-thing really made me a bit happy! ;)

Today I wanted to do an 'aptitude update' to get the latest packages and it wasn't possible because of too many concurrent open files. After shutting down the mail-servers I could finally update the package list. But then at the 'aptitude upgrade' Debian again wanted to downgrade the MySQL (I once experimented with different versions of it and aptitude never recovered from it).

Well, enough is enough....

.. I ordered a root server today. It was too late on friday, so I will get it next week and then I'll have some time to install Gentoo on it (it gets delivered with SuSE) and make myself at home before the vServer gets shut down.

I'm really looking forward to it! :)
Wish me luck - I'm usually not that lucky with buying hardware. Perhaps it helps, that I only rent it.. ;)
